A little studio update (and a few answers)
Books, dogs at the Olympics, and what I'm working on lately

Busy month in the studio
Here’s a little update on what’s been happening in and out of the studio lately - and I thought I’d answer a few of the questions I’ve been getting on social media.
Any good book recommendations?
I usually listen to audiobooks while I work, but did start reading an actual, physical book - Raising Hare by Chloe Dalton - and completely fell in love with it. I’ve decided to save the rest for my summer holiday so I can savour it properly.

My summer holiday reading sorted
I’ve also bought some wonderful books as research for an upcoming project, including vintage cat books by Clare Turlay Newberry - which are already proving very inspiring.

Beautiful vintage cat books - great inspiration!
What have you been watching?
For the past couple of weeks, it’s been all about the Winter Olympics. I’ve especially loved the unexpected guest appearances by dogs during the skiing events. Also, the commentary on the extreme ski and snowboard competitions has been unintentionally hilarious - I’m convinced they invent half the names for the spins and flips on the spot.
Favourite foods right now?
Definitely comfort food season - essential winter fuel. We had an incredible curry from Mughli Charcoal Pits in Manchester last week. Highly recommended 😋
What are you looking forward to?
Warmer weather. I’m slightly tired of dressing like a Victorian Arctic explorer when I’m working in Jen’s studio in Manchester. Roll on spring.

Ready for the final push to the North Pole.
Studio life is busy as ever - I’ve finally unpacked the prints from my NYC show in December, and they look fantastic. They’re now available via Harman Projects.
There are lots of paintings in progress - many of them featuring cats at the moment - and a few other exciting things quietly taking shape behind the scenes.
Until next time ❤️
