A Special Milestone

Not a print, not a painting... from Alison's brush to your bookshelf.

Hello Friends!

The end of summer has been really busy here - we’ve been packing up the house and moving into a new place! It’s all still a bit chaotic, but I was set up and painting again in a temporary studio pretty quickly. There’s no time to waste - I’m hard at work preparing for a solo show in NYC. I’ll tell you all the details soon, but it’s at Harman Projects in November - I can’t wait to bring all my animal friends over to The Big Apple!

Sneak peek from my upcoming NYC show!

The most exciting thing to happen recently though, has been the arrival of a box from the publisher of my upcoming book - Dog Only Knows!

Unpacking the box-fresh copies of Dog Only Knows

Five years ago, I left behind the world of Children’s Books and decided to concentrate solely on animal portraits, rendered in traditional oil paints. It was a big risk for me - I’d been illustrating books for ten years at that point, but I was sure my real calling was creating these kooky and irreverent characters.

It’s meant so much to me that you have loved them as much as I do - and it seems unbelievable that my debut book will be released on 21 October! I’m incredibly proud of this project - If you didn’t already know, the book is available for pre-order.

I can’t wait for you to see it on the shelves of your local bookshop!

A couple of the stars of the book!

Until next time ❤️

Studio Secret

Before I sign off, I’ll let you in on a little studio secret… some of my work has wandered off the canvas and found a whole new stage. You’ll see what I mean next week, front row seats reserved for you!

Straight from the runway… to the dog park.
