Hello Friends!

August has ended with that familiar late-summer lull — a gentle exhale before everything speeds up again.

I managed to step outside the studio for a lovely trip to visit friends, and I even got my hands dirty making some pots! It’s so great to explore other ways of stretching my creative muscles. Massive thanks to Jay @shedpots, it was so fun!

The Tiny Chef + Friends drop was a real highlight, thank you to everyone who supported it. It meant a great deal to share that work and see it connect with so many of you.

That said, I want to speak plainly about something that’s been weighing on me. I’ve seen direct copies of my work being shared and sold — not just “inspired by,” but actual copies of original characters I’ve spent years developing.

It’s upsetting, of course. And I think it’s important to say it clearly: copying isn’t flattery, it’s theft.

So I’m putting my energy where it belongs — into the real thing. I’m working on a proper plan to bring back some fan favourites with the care and intention they deserve.

Strap in, September’s shaping up to be a true comeback, with many of the original prints returning as they were meant to be seen. 

Please do keep sending photos of your pets, I absolutely love featuring them in McFriendy Muses. They’re a constant source of inspiration (and joy)!

Just a quick note to let you know I’ve set up a brand new Facebook page called Mcfriendy.

Why the change? My old page was briefly taken over by someone pretending to be me (cheeky, I know). It’s all been reported and flagged, but to be on the safe side, I’m starting a fresh.

Mcfriendy will be my official Facebook home — full of the usual animal-filled paintings, snacky shenanigans, and behind-the-scenes updates.
